Corrugated iron sheds on a raised timber platform in the estuary grass at Riwaka

Applications

Sheds, sleepouts & cabins

A level base on any section, even sloping or soggy ones.

Garden sheds, sleepouts, studios and cabins: a set of ground screws or helical piles gives a dead-level base on sloping or soggy ground, without boxing, pouring or waiting.

Why screw piles

  • A dead-level base on sloping or soggy ground, without boxing or pouring.
  • Ground screws for garden sheds, helical piles for heavier sleepouts and cabins.
  • In fast, so the building can go up the same day.
  • Ground screws come supply-only for kitset sheds.

Good to know

Many small sheds and sleepouts are exempt from building consent if they meet the Schedule 1 conditions, so check with your council or designer before you build. Send us the kitset's floor plan and we'll set out the piles to suit.

How it works

From enquiry to building on it.

  1. 1

    Tell us about it

Call, email or send your estimate. Plans help, but a sketch with dimensions is fine to start.

  2. 2

    Site check

We look at access, ground and underground services, and confirm the right pile for the job.

  3. 3

    Engineering

For consented work, the engineer designs the layout and target torque and issues a PS1.

  4. 4

    Install day

Set-out, then each pile screwed to target torque and cut to level, with depth and torque logged.

  5. 5

    Handover

The torque record and PS3 go to you and the engineer, and your builder starts straight away.
