Extensions & additions
Tight access, next to existing foundations, with no spoil to cart through the house.
Additions are often squeezed against the existing house, with tight side access and nowhere to put spoil. The compact rig gets through a side gate, the piles go in beside existing foundations without undermining them, and there's no concrete truck in the driveway.
Why screw piles
- The compact rig fits through a side gate or down a narrow path.
- Piles go in right beside existing foundations without undermining them.
- No spoil carried through the house and no concrete truck in the driveway.
- Each pile is cut to level, so the new floor lines up with the old one.
Good to know
Most extensions need a building consent, so the engineer designs the piles and issues a PS1, and we provide the PS3 and torque record. We check for underground services and old footings before anything goes in.
How it works
From enquiry to building on it.
-
1
Tell us about it
Call, email or send your estimate. Plans help, but a sketch with dimensions is fine to start.
-
2
Site check
We look at access, ground and underground services, and confirm the right pile for the job.
-
3
Engineering
For consented work, the engineer designs the layout and target torque and issues a PS1.
-
4
Install day
Set-out, then each pile screwed to target torque and cut to level, with depth and torque logged.
-
5
Handover
The torque record and PS3 go to you and the engineer, and your builder starts straight away.
