A timber deck looking out to the Southern Alps at Lake Tekapo

Applications

Decks

Ground screws in a morning, with no holes and no concrete bags.

A typical deck's ground screws go in in a morning, and the builder can start framing straight after. They come supply-only for builders and confident DIYers, or installed by us.

Why screw piles

  • No holes to dig and no concrete bags to mix.
  • Framing starts straight after, with no wait for concrete to set.
  • Adjustable saddles make it easy to get the bearers dead level.
  • Supply only for builders and confident DIYers, or installed by us.

Good to know

Many low decks don't need a building consent, but higher decks may, so check with your council or designer. Ground screws suit most decks, and raised decks usually take the bigger G89.

How it works

From enquiry to building on it.

  1. 1

    Tell us about it

Call, email or send your estimate. Plans help, but a sketch with dimensions is fine to start.

  2. 2

    Site check

We look at access, ground and underground services, and confirm the right pile for the job.

  3. 3

    Engineering

For consented work, the engineer designs the layout and target torque and issues a PS1.

  4. 4

    Install day

Set-out, then each pile screwed to target torque and cut to level, with depth and torque logged.

  5. 5

    Handover

The torque record and PS3 go to you and the engineer, and your builder starts straight away.
